Office staff is rude, meds never get called in on time, and provider sees you 20min after you arrive for your scheduled appointment time. I would not recommend this office. After this review I was called and listened to, I feel my concerns were heard as I also received a letter from Nystrom. I do appreciate the follow up

We have had a great experience of healing in the Nystrom DBT program. It is hard work and results do not come fast, but the people at Nystrom have been truthful, caring and hard working to help our family.

A note to the public reading these reviews: keep in mind this clinic (as are all the Nystrom & Assoc locations) mainly provide Mental Health Care. If previously unaware of this point you now know this. Thus as with any illness when a person who has not been feeling right but can't "shake it off", or a parent or family member who is very concerned about a loved one who has been exhibiting symptoms &/or behavior, speech,, sleep has changed so as to be a bit to quite worrisome, the logical step is to contact a Medical Provider to be seen. The brain is another organ in the body. Many people are still stuck in the thinking of Mental Health as a Bad thing when just as there is a chemical in the pancreas for example that if not sufficient amount, a person gets sick (Diabetes- Adult Unset) so is it is the same with brain. &, like the pancreas (again for example), with early intervention medication is not always necessary & other treatments (diet, exercise & monitoring...) may be enough. But at a later time, meds may need to be added. My point is people coming here are often in crisis or not in a good "place" mentally &/or emotionally & may sound rude & obnoxious when just trying to hold it together. And often, they feel terribly guilty for how they may have been perceived yet can't bring themselves to apologize because then they would have to verbalize out loud to "strangers" they have a Mental illness. Keep in mind too, the Receptionist, Phone Triage, Dr's Nurses & others are working in a stressful environment (compared to most other people type clinics) & some don't stay long . Yet others do - get to know them. Others transfer to clinics closer to home or other departments. Plus new (government related) rules, standards, etc., are frequent, so it's important that a staff member is positive of information he or she is relaying. I'm a 10+ year client with same doctor @ same clinic. I've moved nearly 30 min from A.V. but stayed with my Doctor & clinic even tho one is close by. Finally, a person's reaction can be affected positively or negatively by one's own outlook more than actual events. Thanks.
